Donating Blood Saves Lives: CIMA Hospital Conducts Campaign at the College of Public Accountants

The Blood Bank of Hospital CIMA San José recently carried out a successful blood donation campaign at the College of Public Accountants of Costa Rica, with the goal of promoting a culture of solidarity and strengthening the blood reserves that save lives every day.

During the event, more than 20 people voluntarily came forward to donate blood, demonstrating their commitment to the health and well-being of those most in need. Each of these donations can save up to three lives, which represents a huge and tangible impact on emergency care, surgeries, and complex medical treatments.

“We deeply thank all the people who participated in this campaign. Your generosity can make the difference between life and death for many patients, “ noted the team from the Blood Bank of Hospital CIMA.

Why is it so important to donate blood?

  • Each donated unit can benefit multiple patients.
  • It is an irreplaceable resource that cannot be artificially manufactured.
  • Reserves must be constantly maintained to respond to medical emergencies.

The collaboration of institutions like the College of Public Accountants is vital to bringing this cause closer to different sectors of society. These alliances allow more people to be informed, participate, and become regular donors.
