Hospital CIMA and Sana Sana: Commitment to Health in the 8th Edition of the “8K For Your Well-being” Race
On Sunday, April 27, 2025, the 8th edition of the “8K For Your Well-being” race, organized by Fischel Pharmacies, brought together thousands of participants in an event that promoted health, sports, and family togetherness. The day began at 6:30 a.m. at the Fischel Pharmacy in Plaza Roosevelt, in San Pedro de Montes de Oca, and culminated in the west plaza of the National Stadium. In addition to the main 8.5 km race, children’s races were held for kids aged 4 to 11, encouraging physical activity from an early age.
During the event, CIMA Hospital offered recovery massages and blood pressure checks at no cost, providing runners and attendees with immediate and professional care. These actions not only relieved participants after the race but also reflect the hospital’s commitment to promoting health and well-being in the community.
As an ally of Fischel Pharmacies, Sana Sana was present at the event, promoting the health and well-being of the participants. Although not specified in the consulted articles, it is common for health institutions like Sana Sana to participate in such events by offering basic medical care services, hydration, and promoting healthy habits.
The family fair, organized in conjunction with the event, offered activities for all family members. Zumba and yoga classes were held, as well as an entertainment area with activities, go-karts, canopy, photobooths, and a special area for pets with training workshops and a dog fashion show.
The participation of CIMA Hospital and its ally Sana Sana in this event underscores their commitment to the community and their dedication to promoting healthy lifestyles. Both institutions continue to work together to provide accessible and quality health services to the Costa Rican population.
